He heard about the atomic bombing in Nagasaki at Hizen-Yamaguchi railway station, and then drove relief train #3 (C51 type) to railroad crossing in Nishi-machi, Nagasaki City. This painting is shown what he had seen there. Several hundreds of the injured by the a-bombing were on the train and taken to Isahaya and Omura railway stations. 2 other relief trains had entered into Nagasaki since 2:00pm on that day.
