This poster is apart of a series of 16 x 20 collages made on paper by N. Masani Landfall. The boys to the left and the men to the top right of this poster both show the sadness and significance of the human spirit despite the pain of the massacre. It is not that the pain isn't real, it is just that resilience is more real than pain. More of truth than the lies our pain tells us in dark times. Resilience is not simply a reaction to pain. Resilience exists as light with or without pain's darkness. Resilience does not need pain to exist. It is synonymous with what it means to be alive. It is found in the faint and gentle hum of the friction between blood flow and veins in rhythm with a heart's beat and a soul's hope.
