The noblewoman Ida Villani Allocchio (1854-1919) is the daughter of the Marquis Filippo Villani, patron and collector of works of art. At her death, her husband Luigi donated 100,000 lire to the Maggiore Hospital to remember her memory, and sent along with the legate the "family" portrait of the deceased, which had been performed in real life by Eugenio Giuseppe Conti in the early 1900s, particularly meticulous in this work which is one of his last, in the description of clothing.
