Ron Dale (left, foreground) is greeted by friends and co-workers on his return to KSC. Dale, with the NASA Safety and Process Assurance Branch at KSC, was aboard a helicopter that crashed while searching for debris from the Space Shuttle Columbia in east Texas in March. He was treated for nonlife-threatening injuries and recently released.
