Humberto Rosa was born in Santa Cruz das Posses (SP) in 1908. He moved to São Paulo (SP) in 1927 and soon after, attended the School of Fine Arts, where he remained until 1932. In 1936, he became a member of the Santa Helena Group. He took part in the Família Artística Paulista exhibition in 1937, 1939 and 1940. In 1940, he also took part in the Paulista Salon of Fine Arts and the Salon of the Institute of Fine Arts of Rio Grande do Sul. He died in São Paulo (SP) in 1948.
