This sack is a tool made of cotton cloth used for storage, which was a substitute for a gamani (straw bag) or seom (straw sack) and was widely used as a container for crops in the industrialization phase after the liberation of Korea. Following the beginning of mass import and sales of powdered food such as flour, mechanically woven sacks became widely used, and often bore company logos or names and product names.
