Los Angeles, United States

And [an angel] said to me "Write: Blessed are those who are called to the wedding supper of the Lamb." And it said to me, "These words of God are true." And I fell down before its feet to adore it. And it said to me, "Do not do this. I am your fellow servant and your brother, having the testimony of Jesus. Adore God." (Apocalypse 19:9-10)

Saint John appears twice in this miniature, once to the left, listening while an angel urges him to write on an empty scroll, and again to the right, at the feet of a second angel. The angel on the right admonishes John to rise to his feet, pulling him up with one hand and pointing to Christ above with the other.
