The frescoed walls portrait some scenes from the best known love stories of the ancient world, such as the ones between Mars and Venus, Bacchus and Ariadne, Pasifae and Crete, Jupiter and Olympia. However, to welcome the visitor in the room, mesmerising him with his gigantic figure, is the cyclops Polyphemus, for a lifetime in love with Agathea, who though never loved him back.
