This sandook was brought from Derra Bassi village in Punjab during the owner’s marriage. The panels on the facade had traces of lacquer work on it, which is a unique feature of sandook recorded in Punjab. Prints of Sikh gurus were framed behind the top board. It had an additional compartment that was accessed from the side.
