Satyr with a basket of grapes from the Cybo collection, marble sculpture in the Quirinale gardens

Quirinale Palace

Quirinale Palace
Rome, Italy

One of the sculptures originally from Villa Cybo in Massa, brought from Castel Gandolfo to the Quirinale in the second half of the 18th century. The marbles, depicting mythological characters but also figures related to the everyday world such as the tailor or the cobbler, were partly placed in the lateral loggias of the Organ Fountain, partly scattered in the garden where they can still be admired today.
