Small schist palette with a decorated border and red pigment in the central area. Border is not raised but marked by an incised line. The short ends have incised cross-hatching, and the longer sides have incisions perpendicular to the edge. Bottom of palette shows pecking marks and some scrapes. This palette was recovered from a habitation area at Pueblo Grande. Pueblo Grande was a large village located at the headgates of a major canal system. Occupied as early as AD 500, the site reached its greatest extent during the Classic Period.
