The amateur photographer Joseph Eschenlohr (1886-1978) spent time in Nuremberg, among other places, between the 1930s and 1950s. On his travels, he captured the city in color slides. The photograph shows the detail view of the Schreyer-Landauer epitaph on the outer wall of the east choir of the Sebaldus Church (Evangelical Lutheran City Parish Church of St. Sebald), middle wall with the Descent from the Cross, detail with Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. The memorial image was created by Adam Kraft in sandstone for Sebald Schreyer, the Sebald church custodian, and his nephew Matthäus Landauer. It is the burial place of the family. Inscription slide frame: "St. Sebald. 11.58."
