The Valle delle Cartiere of Toscolano Maderno is a site of industrial archeology of considerable interest. From 2002 to 2006 the University of Padua conducted excavation campaigns annually to highlight the remains of some paper buildings located in the places of Gatto, Maina Superiore and Maina di Mezzo.
