This seat came from HMS Valiant (S102), a British nuclear submarine. Morris's Rose pattern was a popular design for Royal Navy submarines and surface fleet for 32 years. The pattern was so strongly identified with the navy that officers would sometimes wear a cummerbund made from this fabric.
