Self-Portrait Lying Down

Frida Kahlo1935

Museo Dolores Olmedo

1935 was a year of scarce artistic production in Frida's life. Self-Portrait Lying Down ism ore of a cartoonesque exercise made by the artist. We see her leant back, dressed as a Tehuana, with a light headdress. What is interesting in the drawing is a slight approach to a sensual pose that lets us view the outline of her legs, through the barely insinuated transparency of her skirt.
