Seong Dong-ho, one of the representative film narrators of the silent film era. In 1921, at the age of 17, he entered Umigwan as an apprentice film narrator, and passed the certification system in 1922, becoming a formal film narrator. Afterward, he worked as a film narrator at Dansungsa, Umigwan, Chosun Theater, and Jeil Theater. After liberation, he jumped into production in earnest and produced various genre films such as King Gojong and Martyr An Jung-Geun (1959) and Ah! Baekbeom Kim Ku (1960) directed by Jeon Chang-geun, A Neckless Beauty (1966) directed by Lee Yong-min, and Descendants of Cain (1968) directed by Yu Hyun-mok, among others.
