A limbless woman in beige on a pedestal in blue and brown.
Joaquin Conde is a sculptor and has been a professor of sculpture in UDLAP. He is known because of his sculptures made with traditional materials, as same as experimenting with found and recycling materials. His work tends to the human figure. He tries to give his sculptures a sense of torsion and movement.
"Tensiones y tentaciones" is a series that had an exhibition at the Gallery of the Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla. This series is composed by sculptures of human figures made with different materials and having different positions. The number XII has a geometric platform that contrast with the curves of the woman's figure. She hides her face as if trying to avoid something and maybe the wires that around her are a shield or the things she's hiding from.
