Cream coloured fine wool shawl having artistically designed field, the end panels and narrow vertical hashia or border. This shawl is a very good example of Kani weaving of Kashmir. Both the ends panels of shawl have been beautifully woven with single rows of poppy motif. There are twenty-one poppy motifs woven on each pallu, guarded by a narrow floral border in which flowers are woven in yellow outline and stem in red and leaves in green. Narrow hashia, the speciality of 17th century shawl, illustrates the colourful floral creeper on cream background.
