She 6 is a photographic presentation of the artist in the costume of a married woman from the village Dąbrówka (Lubusz Land) from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. The outfit comes from the collection of the Ethnographic Museum in Zielona Góra with its seat in Ochla. The photograph was taken inside the cottage of the museum. The session was developed in cooperation with Anna Kamińska. An integral part of the work is the artist’s narration, reproduced in audio form – the description/documentation of impressions and emotions associated with the session:
• “Dressing up and off ” [outfit] – impersonating a rural woman from the past, moving in time and space (“teleportation”)
• “Wearing” [outfit] – identification and entering the role, the reconstruction of the daily chores and rituals, the attempt to understand the mentality of the character,
• “Discoveries” – a summary of the experiences, the consequences of embedding oneself in a double role: the researcher and the subject of research (how it has enriched the artist's knowledge of herself and the world). [M. Ipczyńska]
