Achatina shell collected by the present owner, the grandfather. Used by a medicine man who scrapes up a line of the earth outside the doorway of a house where someone is ill. It is believed that this scrapes up the illness as well. Medicine man carries the shell away, and empties it outside the village and so gets rid of the illness. Used after administering medicines.
