Sherd of a large vase, of coarsish grey ware, slipped but not polished. Fairly well fired. Outside buff coloured, inside black. Outside has curvilinear decoration incised after firing and filled with incised lines which served to hold in place the thick layer of red ochre with which the whole decoration was encrusted.
