Kelembit Bok is a war paraphernalia, traditionally used by the Dayak Kenya tribe, for protection from enemy attacks. In the past, the Dayak Kenya were known as head hunters. Kelembit means shield and Bok translates into hair. The Kelembit Bok is made from a light, yet resillient wood, and is decorated with carvings depicting masks, as well as hair which, in the past, used to come from enemies hunted and killed by Dayak Kenya tribesmen during tribal wars. The Kelembit is thought to also protect a person against fire and flames, and is nowadays used for a war dance performance called Kacet Papatai.
