Declaration of victory after the Battle of Leipzig on 18 October 1813

Napoleon suffered one of the decisive defeats against the allied Russian, Austrian and Prussian troops in the "Battle of the Nations" near Leipzig from 16 to 19 October 1813. The four-day battle resulted in over 84,000 deaths. Among others, Karl Philipp Fürst Schwarzenberg, right on the white horse (1771-1820, Austrian field marshal and diplomat), and as a group of three in the centre from left to right Tsar Alexander, Emperor Franz I. and King Friedrich Wilhelm III.

The situation described has never happened in this way. At the time of the announcement of victory, the Austrian emperor had already retired to his quarters at Schloss Rötha.
