Sievert Rising

Experimental short by Frederik De Wilde about two guys sneaking into to Fukushima's post apocalyptic radioactive exclusion zone.
The short combines found footage and computer generated visuals made with custom open source software for artistic data visualisations. Gps data and radiation measurement data collected by Japanese citizens traveling across Japan with an open source Geiger counter and connected gps, was used to create a dynamic data visualisation.
