Silk with Striped and Floral Design

This textile consists of a single layer in which the warp consists of yellow, green, white, blue, and light orange hues of thread. The strips are symmetrically arranged across the entirety of the fabric, and the lining is comprised of 8 strips of satin, allowing the warp to exude a maximum level of color. White weft is used for the floral patterns, with dark flower patterns placed at the intersecting points with the white warp. Where the warp intersects with other colors, patterns appear atop the color of the lining, producing a faintly discernable and charming pattern.
