The chandelier is a exquisite work of silver wrought with hammer, molten, carved and engraved. It was offered to the Cave of the Apocalypse by Ioakeim Simonos, former Abbot of the Monastery, as is attested by its dedicatory inscription, and bears decorative themes inspired by the Revelation. The snakes and dragons that support the candlesticks have an apotropaic character, as symbols to ward off evil. The chandelier was used as the central chandelier of the Katholikon during Easter.

- Περιγραφή: Το εξαιρετικό αυτό έργο έχει κατασκευαστεί από ασήμι σφυρήλατο, χυτό, φουσκωμένο με μήτρα, εγχάρακτο και σκαλιστό. Δωρήθηκε στο Σπήλαιο της Αποκάλυψης από τον Ιωακείμ Σίμωνα, Προηγούμενου της Ιεράς Μονής, και φέρει διακοσμητικά θέματα εμπνευσμένα από την Αποκάλυψη. Οι δράκοι ή ασπίδες που στηρίζουν τα κηροπήγια, έχουν αποτροπαϊκό χαρακτήρα, αποτροπής και απομάκρυνσης του κακού. Χρησίμευε ως κεντρικός πολυέλαιος του Καθολικού το Πάσχα. Στην αφιερωματική επιγραφή διαβάζουμε: Ω Χ(ΡΙΣΤΟ)Υ ΔΟΥΛΕ Κ(ΑΙ) ΜΟΝ(ΗΣ) ΠΑΤΜΟΥ ΚΤΙΤΩΡ ΤΟΥ ΗΓΑΠΗΜΕΝΟΥ ΤΕ, ΠΑΡΘΕΝΟΥ ΘΕΟΛΟΓΟΥ ΔΕΞΑΙ ΤΟ ΔΩΡΟΝ ΤΟΥΤΟ ΣΟΙ Ο ΠΡΟΣΦΕΡΕΙ ΙΩΑΚΕΙ(Μ) ΣΙΜΩΝΟΣ, ΟΣ ΤΑΥΤΗΣ ΗΡΞΕΝ ΚΑΙ ΙΚΕΤΕΥΕ Τα(ΟΝ) ΚΤΙΣΤΗΝ Τα(ΩΝ) ΑΠΑΝΤΩΝ ΟΠΩΣ ΠΑΡΕΞΗ, ΑΦΕΣΙΝ ΣΩ ΟΙΚΕΤΗ 1760
