Rectangular black, gold and red lacquered box (a), with hinged, rectangular silver handle; rectangular domed cover (b) of pierced and molded silver, depicting two flying cranes among pine trees, small loop handle in form of branch at top; deep, rectangular brass tray under cover, set into top of box. Four drawers (d/g) in front of box; one drawer (h) in right side. Continuous lacquer decoration around box showing loaded boat floating on waves, floating dingy, cranes with red crests flying among clouds over water and pine branches. Drawer pulls in wave motifs, hinged pipe hooks on left and right front, and corner guards at base, all of incised silver.
