First-generation of Nagasawa Eishin worked alongside Tomoda Yasukiyo at the Hyogo Prefecture Izushi-gun Municipal Ceramic Research Center. The current fourth-generation Nagasawa Eishin (born in 1938) received the title in 1939. He received the special Nitten (Japan Fine Arts Exhibition) award in 1995 and 2000. This piece, based on traditional Izushi Ware white porcelain style, is shaped with utterly simplicity and devoid of any decorations. The faint blue glaze thinly veiling the shoulder produces a fresh impression.
