The gatehouse to the former Caynton Manor dates to around 1635. The ground floor has rooms flanking a central passageway, above which are two rooms decorated with plasterwork friezes and overmantels. Caynton Manor was demolished or destroyed by the end of the 17th century. The gatehouse was later used as a farm building.
