At NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, space shuttle Atlantis is reflected in the still water of the turn basin as it begins the first stretch of its 3.4-mile trip, known as rollout, from the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Pad 39A. First motion was at 6:38 a.m. EDT Oct. 14. Rollout is expected to take about six hours.
