On its transporter, space shuttle Atlantis rolls toward the open door of the Vehicle Assembly Building after leaving Orbiter Processing Facility 1 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. First motion was at 11:30 a.m. EDT. In the VAB, Atlantis will be lifted into High Bay 3 and mated to the solid rocket booster-external fuel tank already installed on the mobile launcher platform.
