Bowl with a straight rim, globular body, pedestal foot and spout, made of white paste covered by white slip and painted under transparent glaze in manganese purple, green, brick red and cobalt blue with black outlining. Around the body are seven figures of seraphim with green and brick red wings. In the spaces between them are small angel faces enclosed in circles and manganese purple crosses. The faces of the seraphim and angels are upside down. Around the outside of the rim is a border of rectangular cartouches alternately filled with cross-hatching and stylised floral motifs. Around the inside rim is a row of tiny triangles. The spout is decorated with flowers on S-curving stems.
