SPS tunnel model at west hall

A full-scale model of a short length of tunnel built in the West Hall. Wooden models of bending and focusing magnets were in place as mock-ups of the provisions for the services — cooling water, power, monitoring and control. Seeing what this will look like in reality helps fix the final disposition of components in the tunnel. (Looking into this end of the tunnel model the centre of the ring would be on the right.)
