Square Wrapper

This is a type of brocade is produced in Gujarat, India. The bulk of the piece is red, with gilded weft and decorative rinceau weavings arranged in an argyle pattern. Each checkered area is filled with floral motifs and hemmed in yellow. The combination of purple and red is dignified and elegant.
