Further Information: Saint Anthony of Padua is identifiable from his Franciscan habit and lilies, but the episode depicted remains obscure. DPG13 was attributed in the 1813 inventory to Velázquez, and was catalogued c.1866-74 as Dughet and from 1880 as Spanish School.
