St. Jerome Writing

St. Jerome, who translated the Bible into Latin, is shown here in his double facet of intellectual and penitent. It is a work made around 1615, and together with the resurrection of Lazarus, also in the Prado (P07768), it allows to know the early development of the career of Ribera, when it was shown closer to the Caravaggist models.
