Following a divine order, St. Joseph performed the privilege of Jesus' education, teaching Him carpentry and knowledge of life. This sculpture offers naturalistic features with a relaxed posture given by a contrapposto, in the use of glass eyes, fleshpainting, as well as the polychromy techniques used to imitate fabrics of clothing.
