Original bronze sculptor's model of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Likeness is full-length, and shows FDR in a long cape. His right hand is holding a cane upon which he is leaning, while his left hand is fingering the lapel of his suit coat. Signed on bronze base just behind figure's feet on reverse: "W. Reid Dick / 1948 [Sir Walter Reid Dick]." Has an artificial green finish. Mounted on a tall wooden pedestal. The statue was a small-scale model for the FDR Memorial in Grosvenor Square, London, England. It was presented to Eleanor Roosevelt by the Pilgrims Society when she unveiled the large one on April 12, 1948, the third anniversary of FDR's death. FDR Library Museum Collection, MO 1969.1.
