This small but attractive figurine of stuccoed wood and policromo belonged to a funeral outfit from the New Kingdom. As it is known, in the complex Egyptian religion it was fundamental that the corpse was surrounded in its burial by a rich outfit of images, able to protect it in various way in its ultramundane trip. The hawk is colored of dark red, while on the white breast a series of blue bands appears alternated by a redhead, perhaps as representation of a collar. The hawk comes from the Egyptians in partnership to the god Horus, child of Iside and Osiride. The eye of the hawk becomes the radiant globe.
