This is "La Cirilla,” nicknamed by drivers for its chugging and bobbing locomotion. It was used until the 1980s to put together and take apart trains in stations and freight terminals across Italy, moving carriages and coaches. To reduce its size and allow the driver a good line of sight, the locomotive incorporates the tender into the engine. This makes each manoeuvre more rapid, both while pulling and pushing cars.
