Every kid of the baby boomer generation and many of their descendents had their very own View Master and favorite reels. Invented by William Gruber and introduced in 1939, View Master has remained popular ever since and has been manufactured by a succession of five companies. The View Master ranks as one of the most popular toys of the 20th century.
