Woman's stockings of novelty-knit navy blue and white cotton lisle with embroidered flowers; hand knit; top edge of stocking is scalloped; top three inches with two one inch wide horizontal navy blue knit bands with five rows of horizontal one-eighth inch wide white check at varying intervals; top band with repeating knit "V" pattern; bottom band with repeating openwork diagonal line pattern; calf-portion of stocking with alternating blue and white horizontal bands of knit lace; ankle portion with one and one-quarter inch wide horizontal navy blue band bordered by double rows of white check; one inch wide clocks of repeating openwork diagonal line pattern; vamp with white, light blue and turquoise carnation-style flowers on light green and olive vines with tendrils and clusters of three leaves in chain stitch; vamp bordered at sides and toe with bands that match clocks; solid navy blue knit sole and toe.
