Stained-glass window V39 of Milan Duomo illustrates some episodes from the life of King David, founder of the Jewish dynasty. Made between 1939 and 1947 to close the north side of the Cathedral, it is in fact the last window before the counter-façade. The execution of the work, due to Aldo Carpi, was entrusted to Luigi Vianello from Fontana Arte. The two prevailing chromatic registers are green and blue, and the figures are outlined geometrically and with a certain staticity.
