Hassan Khan presents videos, music, writing and translations attained through theory and instinct. His work explores the margins at which a vernacular attains its stature, somehow journeying back and forth between the individual and the communal, between the revealed and the hidden. For Khan, his experience in working with various media is born of the effort to define a theoretical position and the impulse to follow an undefined instinct. Khan’s seemingly universal tales are in fact an attempt to let a story tell itself.
