Study of Glass-blowers

This is one of the fifteen drawings which Peake created during his commission at Chance Brothers glass factory, where cathode ray tubes were being made. Peake captures perfectly the dramatic light of the glass furnaces, and the glowing hot glass itself, as it is expertly shaped.
