Photograph, color, landscape format

Three stumbling stones in front of the apartment house Gipsstr. 3 in Berlin-Mitte commemorate Erich Marcuse (1905–1945), Johanna Marcuse née Hoffmann (1911–1944), and their son Peter (1938–1944). The family moved here from their home in Krausnickstraße 13 a few weeks before their deportation. All three family members were deported to Theresienstadt on the 91st transport that left Berlin on 16 June 1943.
