The Man from Snowy River (1982) directed by George Miller.

Based on Banjo Paterson’s poem The Man from Snowy River, this iconic Australian western set in 1880 reaches its climax and resolution with a dramatic chase – as stockmen pursue a herd of wild brumbies through the Australian Alps. Over forty expert horse riders were employed on the film, including five stunt riders for scenes like this dangerous river crossing.
