Lucy Lyon is well known for her work with cast glass figures. Inspired by environments with figures who appear alone in the company of others, she often focuses on libraries because of their private nature within a public setting. Influenced by American painter Edward Hopper, Lyon uses body language to articulate an emotion or mood in her mixed media sculptures.
