Wincenty Dunikowski-Duniko's interdisciplinary art is focused around the problems of the development of form and broadening the concept of art. The artist creates open, technically consistent series that transcend the limits ascribed to individual art fields. The conceptual notebook Sun Sculpture shows a draft of a utopian realisation focusing solar and lunar light thanks to concave mirrors placed inside a huge pipe that has been cut lengthwise. The artist employs the form of quasi-technical documentation, which is supposed to convey the non-material and elusive nature of the work, while not being the work itself. The form of the presented idea chosen by the artist implies that Dunikowski-Duniko's artistic attitude is consistent with the trend of conceptual art. By virtue of its material form, conservation needs and including in the Bunkier Sztuki Collection the record of the concept has gained the status proper to an autonomous work of art.

Wincenty Dunikowski-Duniko (b. 1947) – pursues painting, sculpture, graphic art, photography and drawing; creates installations and videos. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (1974). In 1976 the artist developed an original formula known as Moment Art. According to its principles he created photo series presenting prosaic phenomena like knocking over a glass or drawing with a finger on a steamy pane. Dunikowski-Duniko trivializes the ethos of artist's work and equalizes his/her activities with mundane life processes.
