Igor Tishin’s works, which go beyond common aesthetic standards, combine techniques of conceptual art, abstraction, Surrealism and Dada, Expressionism, punk, and elements of comic-strip art. In them, you will find quotes, artistic and literary, Bacon and Kharms, newspaper clippings and academic painting, cinema and photography, irony and absurd. The artist himself does not venture a clear-cut definition for his style, naming Chaïm Soutine and Francis Bacon as his teachers.
